Steve Harvey, operating through SJ Harvey, is the data controller for personal information covered by this notice. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the contact page.

What this notice covers

It covers sjharvey.com and general professional enquiries routed through the SJ Harvey contact service from portfolio sites that identify Steve Harvey as their controller. A project may provide an additional privacy notice where it collects information for different purposes. That project-specific notice takes precedence for that processing.

Information collected

When you make an enquiry, I receive the name, email address, message and any other information you choose to include. Website, hosting, security and message-delivery systems may process technical details such as an IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, requested pages and security or spam signals. Business correspondence may also contain project, supplier, customer or professional contact information.

Purposes and lawful bases

Information is used to assess and respond to enquiries, discuss possible work or partnerships, administer ongoing professional relationships, keep appropriate business records, deliver and secure the websites, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems.

Processing is generally based on legitimate interests in operating and protecting the portfolio, communicating with visitors and managing professional relationships; steps requested before entering a contract; performance of a contract; and legal obligations where applicable. Consent is used where the law specifically requires it.

Recipients and international transfers

Relevant information may be processed by suppliers providing hosting, security, message delivery, communications and technical support. It may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required. Personal information is not sold.

Retention

Unsuccessful or general enquiries are kept only while reasonably useful for the conversation and related administration. Information connected with work, contracts or financial records may be retained for longer where needed to manage the relationship, establish or defend legal claims, or meet tax and other legal requirements. Technical logs follow the relevant provider’s operational and security retention periods. Information is then deleted or anonymised.

SJ Harvey does not intentionally place advertising cookies on this website. Essential technology may support delivery, security and contact services. Connected websites and external destinations may use different technologies and publish their own privacy information.

Your rights

Depending on the processing and its lawful basis, you may have rights to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and to object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
